Pattern - Knitting for Olive - Tiny Tulips

Tiny Tulips is a special one-piece for baby girls:  a three-quarter-length sleeve romper with simple-cable hem and cuffs, and a full lace skirt with a pattern inspired of springtime budding tulips.  The one-piece is worked from the bottom up and in the round, beginning from the crotch flaps which are knitted flat and separately.   Button fastening at the crotch, and short-row shaping at the back allow for diaper wearing and changing.  The lace skirt is worked following lace pattern charts, then joined together with the body at the arms, and placed on hold.  The sleeves are three-quarter length, but can be made to desired length.  They are worked from the bottom up and in the round in stockinette stitch, and then joined to the body.  The yoke has raglan shaping to the neckline, which is edged with an i-cord bind off.

An opening at the back with a loop and button closure ensures ease of fitting.

The instructions for the lace and cable patterns are charted only.
